Successful Defense of Employer against $600,000 Claim
Buck Keenan Partner Jim Keenan and Associate Ted Keenan represented a publicly traded company in a breach of contract claim brought by a former upper level employee. The employee alleged that Buck Keenan’s client breached the severance provision of his employment agreement, causing him damages (including interest and attorney’s fees) in excess of $600,000. On February 14, 2011, the arbitration hearing was held. Buck Keenan obtained a no-award verdict and the employee’s claims were dismissed in their entirety, with costs.
